How can you not love those days in the summer when all you need to be wearing is a simple black bikini and a smile. I surely do not take those days for granted. While I still have a white Bond Girl bikini on my mind, you can’t go wrong with classic black, red toe nails and a light fedora or large brim hat! Work the hats! The perfect summer accessory that keeps the sun out of your eyes! My beach hat collection is growing! A less expensive habit than shoes I must add!
Don’t you just love those moments when you are not worried about getting your hair wet and revel in the moment!?
Soul Confessions? On the contrary to those sun drenched smiles, I can confess that not every one of these just get your hair wet moments will be accompanied with a smile. The alternate scene can leave one pacing gallantly through a downpour in a pair of your favorite LK Bennett pumps without hesitation, hair down, not even caring that you should probably be carrying an umbrella as you feel somewhat tormented emotionally (but thanks to that uber expensive mascara made of fibers still managing to not look too scary!)
I might wish these moments of sheer frustration do not occur but truthfully life goes on. Those moments might be raw and leave a woman appearing fragile but deep down you should know how strong you are!
As anyone can see, I took an extended hiatus from sharing the things I adore (including amazing soles of course)! Let me just say, that when your gut tells you something is not right, you should trust your instincts. When you do not feel like you can be yourself, it is hard to feel happy. My confession is that I was told last year by a therapist that I was just sensitive. Well you know…. it could be worse. I have also been told I am a passionate person. It all goes together.
Aside from in a sense feeling so creatively and linguistically challenged (in addition to having had my Nikon stolen), I was attempting to define what I represent here and how I can connect with my audience.
What is Fabulous Soles about? Yes…a passion for shoes that not only look amazing but feel great as well as the stories behind a brand are often a fascination I like to share. Running wherever I am and capturing images of what intrigues and inspires me are perhaps my way of connecting with the world.
Intrinsically the ‘soul’ in Fabulous Soles that I wish to share is that you enjoy the moments in each pair of shoes. Most of all, be brave and take chances but just be yourself! Those moments when you just dance and you forget about getting your heels dirty are usually the most fun!
(alright…. Please do not step on my red suede heels! I might suggest carrying a suede eraser)
